“Rang Desh” Celebrates Courage and Patriotism in Indore — Rain Fails to Dampen Spirit Ahead of Independence Day
Indore, July 26, 2025 — As the nation prepares to celebrate its 79th Independence Day, the Shaurya Naman Foundation turned the stage into a vibrant canvas of patriotism with its cultural event “Rang Desh” on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Despite heavy morning rains, the event at Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium, Indore drew an audience united in love for the nation and respect for its heroes.
The celebration was graced by Mr. Girdhar Lal Batra, father of Param Vir Chakra Capt. Vikram Batra, Ms. Pratibha Pandey, sister of Param Vir Chakra Capt. Manoj Pandey, and Bhupendra Pratap, Second-in-Command, BSF, along with several dignitaries from the fields of governance, education, and social work.
Honoring the Brave and Their Families
In a poignant Shaurya Samman segment, families of martyrs including Gajanan Singh, Pawan Carpenter, Dinesh Gurjar, and Jitendra Singh were honored. The Shaurya Sahitya 2025 award recognized Mrs. Geeta Shukla and Ms. Anuradha Pandey for patriotic literary contributions.
Special honors were also extended to 1971 war veteran Pratap Singh and sports achiever Virendra Singh Chawda, who recently completed the 90 km Comrades Marathon in South Africa.
Cultural Tributes and Soldier Presence
Performances of Ganesh Vandana and patriotic songs by Shruti Malviya and Shakib Khan filled the venue with energy and emotion. The presence of BSF soldiers transformed the atmosphere into a living memorial of courage and sacrifice.
A Green Tribute — Shaurya Naman Udyan
Earlier in the morning, the Foundation inaugurated the Shaurya Naman Udyan at Scheme No. 140, Indore, planting 21 trees in honor of Param Vir Chakra awardees. Children from Medicaps School participated, offering flowers and tributes to the martyrs.
Independence Day Message
Speaking about the event’s success despite the weather, the Shaurya Naman team said:
“This was never about numbers — it was about the cause. The rain may have slowed some, but those who came experienced the event with their hearts.”
As Independence Day approaches, the Foundation appeals to citizens to stand beside the families of martyrs — not just in words, but in meaningful action.
