At least 30 people have tragically lost their lives in a stampede during the ongoing Kumbh Mela festival in India, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. The deadly incident occurred early in the morning, approximately 1 kilometer from the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj. As millions of Hindu devotees gathered for the ritual bath, a massive crowd surge led to the fatal stampede, leaving over 60 others injured.
