Firefly Aerospace shared the first image on social media, describing it as a symbol of their team’s courage, dedication, and innovation. In a statement, the company said, “This image is the result of over three years of hard work. We’re just getting started.”

Additionally, Blue Ghost will record a lunar sunset, helping scientists understand how solar radiation causes dust to rise from the Moon’s surface.
